IED blast wounds 3 persons west of Baghdad
[Iraq News] A police source revealed that three persons were maimed in the kaboom of an improvised bomb, west of Baghdad, Alsumaria News reported on Tuesday.
The source said in a press statement that an improvised bomb, emplaced near a popular market in al-Zidan area in Abu Gharib District, west of Baghdad, went kaboom! , wounding three civilians.
In a separate incident, a group of gunnies kidnapped a civilian from the old bridge of Diyala, southeast of the capital, Baghdad.
Baghdad is witnessing a surge of violence, including several suicide kabooms using booby-trapped vehicles and boom belts, in addition to separate attacks against civilians and security members, leaving dozens of casualties every day.
