Mortar shells land around Mogadishu Airport
[SHABELLENEWS] Several mortar rounds were reported to have landed near Mogadishu’s Aden Adde International Airport on Sunday morning, witnesses said.Eyewitness said at least three mortar shells hit residential area adjacent to the heavily guarded Mogadishu airport, and Halane military base, which houses to AMISOM troops. Four civilians, including children were maimed in the mortar fire. Somali security forces in the area have engaged a shootout with the attackers, killing two of them on the spot, and seizing truck with the mortar gun, according to local residents.
