US plays Whack-a-Mole with Baghdadi in Deir Ezzor
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Dozens of the Islamic State members were either killed or wounded, late on Monday, in the Syrian province of Deir ez-Zour by air strikes conducted by the international coalition aircraft, which are believed to be carried out to target the group’s supreme leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, a Syrian activist said on Tuesday.The Syrian activist Firas al-Alawi revealed that the international coalition aircraft carried out air strikes on Albu Kamal City, located on the Syrian-Iraqi borders. The coalition air strikes also targeted al-Ahmar Oil Station in Hasrat town, in the rural area of Albu Kamal, and al-Labed neighborhood in the city of al-Muhasan, Alawi added. Alawi also pointed out that the international coalition intensified its air strikes on Deir ez-Zour on the background of the news that talked about the escape of the Leader of the Islamic State, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, from Iraq to Syria.
