Afghan forces launch counterattack in Sar-e-Pul province
At least eight insurgents were killed and three others were wounded on Monday afternoon when dozens of insurgents attacked parts of Sayad district of Sar-e-Pul province from three different directions.Sa r-e-Pul governor Mohammad Zahir Wahdat confirmed the attack and said security forces managed to push back insurgents after several hours. Wahdat said that among those killed was Qari Khaibar, known as Moaz, a prominent Taliban commander.
