Al-shabab seizes Gofgadud town after deadly gunfight
[SHABELLENEWS] Al shabaab has wrested full control of the strategic town of Goofgaduud near Baidoa city after a deadly battle with Southwest and Somali government troops on Tuesday morning.The snuffies mounted in pickups and armed with heavy-arms raided the town, before seizing its control. The attack has sparked hours-long shootout which left 4 soldiers dead. Reports from the town indicate that Al shabaab has burnt down a military vehicle, and seized two others during the raid against the army barracks of Somali forces. The allied troops retreated to Baidoa after the were pushed out of the district.
