 [Iran Press TV] US President Donald Trump...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... has fired FBI Director James Comey, amid probes of potential contacts between Trump’s campaign and Russian officials prior to the 2016 presidential election. "The president has accepted the recommendation of the Attorney General and the deputy Attorney General regarding the dismissal of the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation," White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said in statement on Tuesday. In a letter to Comey, the US president said, "It is essential that we find new leadership for the FBI that restores public trust and confidence in its vital law enforcement mission." It was not immediately clear exactly why Comey was ousted. "The FBI is one of our Nation's most cherished and respected institutions and today will mark a new beginning for our crown jewel of law enforcement," Trump said in the letter.
