2 FC men in Kurram Agency injured in cross-border firing from Afghanistan
[DAWN] Two Frontier Constabulary soldiers were maimed in cross-border firing in  Kurram Agency...home of an intricately interconnected web of poverty, ignorance, and religious fanaticism, where the laws of cause and effect are assumed to be suspended, conveniently located adjacent to Tora Bora... from Afghanistan's Khost province ... across the border from Miranshah, within commuting distance of Haqqani hangouts such as Datta Khel and probably within sight of Mordor. Khost is populated by six different tribes of Pashtuns, the largest probably being the Khostwal, from which it takes its name... on Friday, security sources said. The attack took place as FC personnel were undertaking construction of a wall along the border on the Pak side, the sources said, adding that they returned fire across the border. This is the second cross-border attack coming from Afghanistan over the past week. At least nine people were killed and over 40 others injured as Afghan border forces opened fire on security personnel guarding a census team in Balochistan  ...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran.
