7 Taliban insurgents die in Sangin
At least 7 Taliban insurgents were killed in clashes with security forces in Sangin district of southern Helmand province, local officials said on Monday.In addition, six other insurgents were wounded. The clashes stared after a number of Taliban insurgents attacked security forces check posts and opened fire on troops, according to officials. The clashes continued for several hours and “security forces were able to repel the Taliban’s attack,” the official added.
