Sears Department Store Now Peddling 'Free Palestine' T-Shirts
[Jpost] After the story sparked an online petition, Sears responded to The Jerusalem Post personally.

Now shoppers can purchase a souvenir of the conflict along with a new refrigerator.

Times must be tough in the appliances sector - classic American home goods department store Sears has turned to commercializing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Now with your washer-dryer, customers can pick up a women's "Free Palestine" t-shirt in their choice of six colors.

The t-shirt features a fist in the colors of the Palestinian flag, with the words "Free Palestine, End Israeli Occupation" emblazoned on the front. The product description encourages shoppers to "Make a statement about the Arab-Israeli conflict with this powerful design."
Verified HERE. Bye, Sears.
When questioned, a Sears representative told The Jerusalem Post that they are aware of the t-shirt and have escalated the situation. "We will be removing the items soon. Please allow us 24 hours. Thank you for understanding," he said.

"We do not want our members to be unhappy," he continued. "This item is sold by a third-party seller via the Sears Marketplace. Given the feedback we’ve received, we are currently evaluating the items in question to determine appropriate action. We will fix it and ensure this is not repeated."
The Times of Israel adds:
The clothing is being offered for sale by a Germany company, Spreadshirt, and includes tank tops, T-shirts and hoodies featuring a variety of pro-Palestinian messages. The garments are being sold through Sears Marketplace, which offers a platform for third-party sellers to offer their wares through websites managed by Sears.

Another company, US-based City Shirts from Bloomington, Minnesota, offers “Free Palestine” T-shirts that feature a map of the West Bank and Israel as one territory, a representation that is usually taken to mean a denial of Israel’s right to exist.
Update from The Times of Israel at 4:10 pm EDT: Sears has pulled the items, based on the feedback they received, though they feel unfairly singled out on this issue. WalMart today also discontinued carrying the items. No word from Amazon, though.
