Syrian forces digging in along Iraqi border
[AlManar] The Syrian army and allies continued fortifying the positions they had regained from ISIL terrorists on the border with Iraq, according to Al-Manar TV report.The Syrian army and allies managed on Friday to control an area of 5000 kilometers in the Desert after they had regained 15000 kilometers, reaching the border with Iraq in northeastern Tanaf city. Al-Manar crew inspected a border position which is controlled by the Syrian army and allies and 100 kilometers away from Tanaf. Al-Manar reporter said that the Syrian vehicles in the Desert started paving a way which reaches the border with Iraq. The reporter also stressed that the Syrian army is still reinforcing its forces in the Desert and on the border with Iraq by dispatching more units from Suwaida in southern Damascus and from Palmyra. The target is to besiege ISIL terrorists in Deir Ezzor province, according to Al-Manar reporter.
