Jets buzz Benghazi’s Suq Al-Hout as LNA advance continues
[Libya Herald] Jets roared low across Benghazi tonight as the airforce buzzed Suq al-Hout where the Libyan National Army (LNA) continues to make slow progress in house-to-house fighting.Such straight-and-low flying is unusual. Air attacks are normally made from a height. But tonight there were no bomb kabooms nor the sound of strafing. The high-speed passes were evidently designed to alarm and intimidate the remaining murderous Moslems trapped inside the enclave. While there are no reports of LNA casualties today, the bodies of at least two murderous Moslems were discovered. One was identified as Ihab al-Zuway, said to be a member of Ansar al-Sharia ...a Salafist militia which claims it is not part of al-Qaeda, even though it works about the same and for the same ends. There are groups of the same name in Libyaand Yemen, with the Libyan versions currently most active. Tunisia's Shabaab al-Tawhid started out an Ansar al-Sharia and changed its name in early 2014. It still uses the old name now and then, probably because the stationery's not all used up and the web site hasn't expired yet... , the other as Salahaddin Azzouz, whose nickname was "Talha" (Big Tree). As the LNA advances the full extent of the damage to the historic Suq al-Hout district is becoming apparent.
