Raid in Kushtia militant hideout ends after 22 hours, 3 suspected female militants detained
[Dhaka Tribune] Law enforcers have concluded their raid at a suspected holy warrior hideout in Kushtia’s Bheramara upazila on Saturday night, nearly 22 hours after they cordoned it off.

Khulna range Additional DIG Habibur Rahman officially announced the conclusion of the operation around 9pm at a press briefing.

Talking to news hounds at the briefing, Habibur Rahman said the operation started around 5:45pm.

"The bomb disposal unit recovered an bomb weighing around 10 kilogrammes from the house which the Death Eaters rented in November last year," he said.

Earlier, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crimes unit Abdul Mannan confirmed the Dhaka Tribune that the raid will begin as soon as the members of the bomb disposal unit arrive at the scene from Dhaka.

Two of the detainees are Tithi, wife of New JMB chief Ayub Ali alias Sajib and Sumaiya, wife of second-in-command of New JMB.
