Syrian rebels continue push into Raqqa
Raqqa (Syria News) The Syrian Democratic Forces imposed their control over new military locations belonging to the Islamic State group in the old city in the city of Raqqa.Qasion News reported, on Sunday, that the Syrian Democratic Forces advanced into the old city area in the city of Raqqa, and imposed their control over new locations and headquarters belonging to the Islamic State group, after fierce clashes between the two sides, amid mutual rockets and artillery shelling. Meanwhile, US-led coalition aircraft carried out several air strikes on al-Dareya neighborhood, west of the city, without causing any casualties. It is noteworthy that the Syrian Democratic Forces, backed by the international coalition, managed to retake several villages in the southern countryside of Raqqa, and isolated the IS-held areas from the countryside of the city.
