Sharon Tells Palestinian Leaders to Stop anti-Jewish Propaganda
The new Palestinian leadership must take immediate steps to stop anti-Israeli propaganda and incitement in the Palestinian media to show it will improve relations with Israel, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said. Israel's demand that the Palestinian Authority dismantle terrorist organizations is a ``complex process'' that will take time to complete, Sharon said yesterday, according to an e-mailed government statement. Ending ``venomous propaganda'' and incitement against Israelis are measures the leadership is able to take now, he said. ``There are two demands that are under direct control of the new leadership,'' Sharon said. ``It must be seen to that they are implemented immediately.''
