U.N. Approves Sanctions Against North Korea

Security Council unanimously approves new sanctions against  North Korea, following two recent ICBM tests.The sanctions ban exports from the country totaling $1 billion dollars or more, a measure that is broadly expected to deeply cut into the country’s profits. Speaking at the meeting U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley ...first woman to serve as Governor of South Carolina, and the second Indian-American governor in the country, after Bobby Jindal of Louisiana. At the age of 39, Haley is the youngest current governor in the U.S., a distinction formerly held by Jindal. She is a Republican, which really grates on the Dems... praised the move. "This resolution is the single largest economic sanctions package ever leveled against the North Korean regime," Haley said. "The price the North Korean leadership will pay for its continued nuclear and missile development will be the loss of one third of its exports and hard currency.
