AJK protesters rally to condemn blacklisting of Hizbul Mujahideen by US
 [DAWN] A rally to condemn the United States' recent decision to blacklist Hizbul Mujahideen... Party of Holy Warriors, founded by Muhammad Ahsan Dar in September 1989. Hizbul murdered many of the pro-independence intelligentsia in Kashmir. After the organization was taken over by Syed Salahuddin, Dar and several other ex-Hizb leaders were assassinated between 2001 and 2003... as a 'terrorist organization' was held in Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmire (AJK), on Thursday. The US decision came weeks after Hizbul Mujahideen commander Syed Salahuddin ...the aging, morbidly obese chief of Hizbul Mujaheddin and the titular head of the United Jihad Council in idyllic Kashmire. Originally owned body and theoretical soul by Jamaat-e-Islami he and his organization are currently controlled by Pakistain's ISI. Salahuddin's hobbies include crocheting doilies shaped like the Taj Mahal, combing his enormous beard, and eating.... was designated a global terrorist. "Hizbul Mujahideen is a not a terrorist organization but stands for the sentiments and aspirations of Kashmiris and is the centre of their hopes," read a banner carried by protesters. The demonstrators chanted anti-India and pro-freedom slogans while condemning the US decision as they walked from Burhan Wani Chowk to Garhipan Chowk. "You can withhold our properties and [bank] accounts if there are any [in the US], but you cannot force us to give up our legitimate struggle for freedom," Sheikh Jamilur Rehman, secretary general of United Jihad Council (UJC), said. Pakistan slams US blacklisting of Kashmir 'terror' group [AlAhram] Pakistain on Thursday criticised the United States for blacklisting the Kashmiri separatist group Hizb-ul-Mujahideen as a terrorist organization, calling the move "unjustified". The State Department designation bans US citizens and residents from dealing with the group and any assets found to belong to it in areas under US jurisdiction will be frozen. "We are disappointed with the US decision in view of the fact that Kashmire is an internationally recognised dispute with UN Security Council resolutions pending implementation for the last 70 years," Nafees Zakariya, Pakistain's foreign ministry front man, told news hounds in the capital Islamabad.
