Taliban leader among 7 killed, wounded in Maidan Wardak airstrike

 turbans in central Maidan Wardak province of Afghanistan leaving at least seven of them dead or maimed, the local officials said Thursday.

A local commander of the forces of Evil was also among those killed during the Arclight airstrike.

The provincial police commandment in a statement confirmed the Arclight airstrike and said at least three people including their commander were killed.

The statement further added that four others also sustained injuries in the Arclight airstrike that targeted the forces of Evil in Nerkh district in Marko village.

The Taliban leader killed in the Arclight airstrike has been identified as Mawlavi Farid, the police commandment said, adding that the Arclight airstrike was carried out as the forces of Evil were looking to launch an attack on the security forces in the village.
