Six Frontier Constabulary personnel injured in twin blasts at Torkham
[DAWN] At least six Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel and a child were maimed in two consecutive kabooms at the Pak-Afghan border at Torkham, security officials said on Friday.CCTV footage and security sources confirmed the kabooms were caused by grenades. The FC personnel, who were deployed at the gate, and a passerby child received injuries as a result of the two blasts. Following the blasts, the security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation in the adjoining areas. The border crossing was also closed for all types of traffic. The nature of the blast is yet to be ascertained, the FC officials said.
