Assailants hurl grenade at police checkpoint in Pakistan, no casualties
 Two assailants riding on a motorcycle threw a hand grenade at a police checkpoint in this southwestern city of Pakistan, but no one was hurt, police said on Friday.

It was not immediately clear who was behind the attack on late Thursday in Quetta, the capital of southwestern Baluchistan province, and senior police official Hamid Shakil said the case was being investigated. The latest attack came hours after a bomb planted on a bicycle parked outside a shop exploded in a crowded bazaar in a remote town in Baluchistan, killing one person and wounding 14 others. Hours later, a little-known group, the Baluchistan Liberation Army, claimed responsibility and warned the government not to set up new army garrisons in the province. Baluchistan has been the scene of a number of small-scale explosions, but authorities have failed to arrest those responsible.Â
