Pakistan: Election Commission Denies Registration Of Party With Ties To Lashkar-e-Taiba
[WORLDVIEW.STRATFOR] Pakistain's Election Commission banned on Oct. 11 the Milli Moslem League (MML) from registering as an official political party, Hindustan Times reported. The MML is a new political party backed by Hafiz Mohammad Saeed, chief of Lashkar-e-Taiba...the Army of the Pure,an Ahl-e-Hadith terror organization founded by Hafiz Saeed. LeT masquerades behind the Jamaat-ud-Dawa facade within Pakistain and periodically blows things up and kills people in India. Despite the fact that it is banned, always an interesting concept in Pakistain, the organization remains an blatant tool and perhaps an arm of the ISI... ‐ a terrorist group that has been blamed for the 2008 Mumbai attacks that killed 166 people. Saeed is under house arrest and has a $10 million U.S. bounty on his head.
