for allegedly forcing two of her pre-teen daughters into prostitution.

The victims are two sisters aged eight and 10, and were forced to have sex with three Bangladeshi men, as reported by the Johor police.

Following the arrest and rescue, it has been revealed, the unemployed mother would take her daughters to a budget hotel every Friday, in Larkin Perdana, where the illicit activities would occur.

It has been further reported by The Star Online, one of the Bangladeshi men is said to be the woman’s lover.

The woman charged Rm50 (Tk980) for sex with her underage daughters each time. It is estimated that the hotel was 30km from her residence in Taman Bintang, Johor Baru.

Johor Social Welfare Director Datuk Daud Arbah reassured: "The girls, who have been at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital since October 25, will be put under the care of Pusat Per-lindungan Kanak-Kanak here."

Medical examinations have further confirmed that both the girls were abused for some time, as reported by New Straits Times.

A source from the Department of Social Welfare has said that the two sisters will be placed at a children’s home, following a recovery at the hospital.

He said while still being traumatised, the girls were quite straightforward with their description of the incident.

He also added the girls might not currently fully comprehend the nature of the abuse that they were subjected to owing to their young age.

Counsellors from the department are soon to meet the sisters.

As of now, the police have arrested five Bangladeshi men for interrogation as reported by the online news portal Malaysiakini.

State Police Chief Commissioner Datuk Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd said, the suspects were brought to the Johor Bahru Magistrate’s Court to obtain a remand order.

Investigation into the whereabouts of the suspects is still ongoing.
