Three Vietnamese sailors rescued from Abu Sayyaf
[CNC] Philippine security forces rescued three Vietnamese sailors from the hands of the Abu Sayyaf in an audacious raid near Languyan town in Tawi-Tawi Friday. A fourth Vietnamese man was found dead in the kidnap group’s lair, apparently succumbing from an illness.The four were part of a 17-member crew of a fishing vessel which the Abu Sayyaf seized last February 25 off the waters of Sulu. Two of the 17 were killed by the militants while ten were rescued by the Philippines in an earlier dragnet. The Abu Sayyaf still holds at least 16 more hostages, including seven foreigners.
