Trump asks Supreme Court for full enforcement of travel ban
 [DAWN] The Trump administration on Monday asked the United States Supreme Court to allow its latest travel ban to take full effect.A federal appeals court ruling last week had allowed President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... 's newest version of the ban to take effect partially. That ruling by the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals allowed the administration to ban people from six mostly Moslem countries unless they have a "bona fide" relationship with someone in the US. Last month, a federal judge in Hawaii had blocked most of Trump's third travel ban just before it was due to take effect. A judge in Maryland separately blocked it to a lesser degree, saying Trump could bar people from Chad, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria and Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic... as long as they did not have "bona fide" relationships with people or organizations already in the US. The travel ban also applies to travellers from  North Korea and to some Venezuelan government officials and their families, but the lawsuits did not challenge those restrictions.Posted by: Fred 2017-11-22 |
