Warren: Trump Will Not Silence Me by Using a ‘Racial Slur’ Like ‘Pocahontas’

Trump hosted an event at the White House to honor Navajo code talkers, where he referenced Pocahontas, a nickname he has used in the past to refer to Warren. Velshi played a clip of Trump's comments and then asked if she would like to respond. "I just want to thank you because you are very, very special people. You were here long before any of us were here," Trump said. "Although, we have a representative in Congress who they say was here a long time ago; they call her Pocahontas." "This was supposed to be an event to honor heroes," Warren said in response. "People who put it all on the line for our country, and people who, because of their incredible work, saved the lives of countless Americans and our allies."
