Jihadist rebels in big trouble as Syrian Army approaches northeastern Hama strongholds
[ALMASDARNEWS] The jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham and Jaish al-Izza are in serious trouble inside the northeastern countryside of Hama, as they find themselves nearly enveloped around their last strongholds in this rural area.

Backed by heavy Arclight airstrikes from the Russian Air Force, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has steadily crept their way to the towns of Umm Miyal and al-Rahjan, which are two strongholds for the jihadist rebels in northeast Hama.

The Syrian Army was able to better their positions around Umm Miyal, today, after capturing the small town of Mustarihah.

As a result of this advance, the Syrian Arab Army is now situated just south of Umm Miyal, leaving the jihadist rebels in a very uncomfortable spot.

If HTS and Jaish al-Izza are unable to beat back the Syrian Armed Forces in the coming days, they will be forced to give up this last piece of northeastern Hama that is under their control.
