5 prisoners hanged to death in Kabul prison over kidnapping
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] At least five prisoners who were sentenced to death over kidnapping charges were hanged to death in Kabul prison today.

The Ministry of Interior officials confirmed that the five convicts were hanged to death in Pul-e-Charkhi prison of Kabul earlier today.

The officials further added that the men were sentenced to death by all courts after they were found guilty of kidnapping in western Herat

The directorate overlooking the prisons and detention centers in the ministry of interior issued a statement today confirming the execution of the five prisoners.

The statement further added that the men were hanged to death earlier this morning after their death pentalty orders were approved by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani
