Honolulu Police Dept. to Pot Smokers: ‘You Have 30 Days to Turn over Your Guns'
[GunAmerica] The Honolulu Police Department is demanding that medical marijuana users turn over their firearms.In a letter dated Nov. 13, Police Chief Susan Ballard drew a line in the sand. It’s either your weed or your guns. "Your medical marijuana use disqualifies you from ownership of firearms and ammunition," the letter reads. "If you currently own or have any firearms," it continues, "you have 30 days upon receipt of this letter to voluntary surrender your firearms, permit, and ammunition to the Honolulu Police Department (HPD) or otherwise transfer ownership."
