 9 people killed, injured in two bomb blasts in Baghdad Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) One person was killed and eight others were injured in two bomb blasts in Baghdad on Monday, a security source told Baghdad Today website. “A bomb planted near an overcrowded market at Arab Jibor neighborhood south of Baghdad exploded, leaving one person killed and five others injured,” the source said. “Another bomb placed by terrorists near a road went off at al-Dawanem region in southwestern Baghdad, injuring three people,” the source pointed out. Iraqi troops detonate booby-trapped house in Baghdad Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A booby-trapped house was detonated at al-Mahasnah village south of Baghdad on Monday, a military command said. “Iraqi troops detonated a booby-trapped house and three bombs at al-Mahasnah village south of Baghdad,” the Baghdad Operations Command said in a statement, a copy of which was obtained by Baghdad Today website. “The blasts left no casualties,” the statement read, adding that security forces also arrested a number of outlaws, who are wanted on criminal and terror charges.
