Explosion In Nangarhar Mosque Leaves One Dead
[ToloNews] An kaboom inside a mosque in Mohmand Dara district in NangarharThe unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country.. province, the east of Afghanistan, left one dead and at least eight others maimed, a press statement from Nangarhar governor’s office said. The imam of the mosque lost his life in this kaboom which occurred when the worshippers were doing the Friday prayers. The statement said the maimed were taken to nearby health centers in the province and their condition is not critical. This is not the first attack on mosques in the country. Many mosques in Kabul, Herat ...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... and Ghor provinces were attacked this year, leaving dozens of people dead and maimed.
