U.S. Conducts Airstrike In Support Of The Somali Government
[RADIOSHABELLE] In coordination with the Federal Government of Somalia, U.S. forces conducted an  against al-Shabaab... the personification of Somali state failure... ...a port city in the southern Lower Juba province of Somalia, at the extreme southern end of the country (assuming Somalia can be called a country). It is the commercial capital of the autonomous Jubaland region... , killing eight (8) Death Eaters and destroying one vehicle. We assess no non-combatants were killed in the strike. U.S. forces will continue to use all authorized and appropriate measures to protect U.S. citizens and to disable terrorist threats. This includes partnering with AMISOM and Somali National Security Forces (SNSF) in combined counterterrorism operations and targeting terrorists, their training camps, and their safe havens throughout Somalia and the region.
