group was killed by a mine planted by his own fighters in northern Kunduz province of Afghanistan.

The 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan army in the North said the district shadow governor of the Taliban for Khanabad was killed after stepping on a mine planted by the Taliban fighters.

The Silab Corps officials said Mawlavi Dost Mohammad was attempting to escape from the Afghan forces during an operation.

The officials further added that the operation was being conducted in Ibrahim Khel village when the incident took place and as a result a bodyguard of Mawlavi Dost Mohammad was seriously maimed.
