Syrian Army demands Islamist rebels surrender east Damascus suburb
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has once again demanded that the Salafist tough guys in Harasta immediately surrender this east Damascus suburb.According to a military source in Damascus, the Syrian Army’s 4th Division warned the Salafist tough guys of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham  , Faylaq al-Rahman, and Harakat Ahrar al-Sham...a Syria jihadi group made up of Islamists and salafists, not that there's that much difference, formed into a brigade. They make up the main element of the Islamic Front but they don't profess adoration of al-Qaeda and they've been fighting (mainly for survival) against the Islamic State. Their leadership was wiped out at a single blow by a suicide kaboom at a crowded basement meeting in September, 2014... that if they do not surrender Harasta that they will restart their operations to capture the suburb. Recently, the Syrian Army redeployed several 4th Division units to the Harasta front in order to help with the upcoming offensive that is scheduled to take place at this front. The Syrian Army issued this demand to the Salafist tough guys as a way to settle this battle peacefully; however, it is unlikely that Ahrar al-Sham and their allies agree to surrender Harasta.
