ISIS launches major offensive to break out of Deir Ezzor
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Islamic State...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... (ISIS) launched a massive offensive in the Deir Ezzor Governorate, tonight, targeting several areas under the control of the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). ISIS reportedly began the attack by storming the SDF-held towns in the eastern part of Deir Ezzor, including Gharanej and al-Jahrah near the eastern bank of the Euphrates River. While no gains have been reported, the Islamic State alleges that their fighters have killed more than 20 members of the Syrian Democratic Forces.
