IDF said to arrest family members of suspect in Israeli man’s killing
[IsraelTimes] Brother of Ahmad Nassar Jarrar, who is wanted for killing Raziel Shevach, picked up in overnight raid, Paleostinian media say.

The brother of one of the gunnies suspected of carrying out a deadly shooting attack earlier this month was tossed in the slammer

early Tuesday morning by Israeli security forces, according to Paleostinian media.

The Paleostinian Ma’an news outlet reported that Israel Defense Forces soldiers in Jenin arrested Suhaib Nassar Jarrar, brother of suspected terror cell leader Ahmad Nassar Jarrar, who is believed to have evaded Israeli arrest raid last week.

The official Paleostinian Authority Safa news outlet reported that Wissam Assam Jarrar, a relative of Ahmad, was also arrested in Jenin.

Israeli security officials would not confirm the arrests, as there is a gag order in place preventing publication of details related to the case.

the IDF announced that eight Paleostinian suspects were arrested between Monday night and Tuesday morning in raids throughout the West Bank.

On January 9, shortly before 8 p.m., 35-year-old father of six Rabbi Raziel Shevach was driving his car on the highway near his home in the Havat Gilad outpost when shots were fired at him from a passing vehicle. Shevach, a volunteer medic, was shot in the neck, but managed to call his wife and tell her to call an ambulance. Civilian and military medics rushed to the scene and tried to stop the bleeding as they took Shevach to Kfar Saba’s Meir Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
He's dead, Jim!
after life-saving efforts failed.

Israeli security services launched a manhunt after the perpetrators, leading them to a house in Jenin where the suspects were believed to be hiding last Thursday.

In an operation led by the Israel Police’s counterterrorism unit, security forces used a technique known as "pressure cooker," in which troops use a number of high-intensity weapons and tools to disorient the suspects inside a house before knocking down a wall and entering the structure in full force.

A firefight broke out during the arrest raid. One suspect was killed and another was taken into custody. Two coppers were maimed, one of them seriously.

Ahmad Jarrar apparently succeeded in fleeing the scene. Israeli forces have been in pursuit of him ever since, with Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman saying on Friday that he is "living on borrowed time."
