Eleven Russian soldiers were killed in the past 24 hours in various attacks and mine explosions in another wave of violence in the war-torn rebel republic of Chechnya, military sources said yesterday. The biggest single loss came when six interior ministry soldiers were killed and one injured when their truck was blown up on Monday by a remote controlled mine in the rebel capital Grozny, a Russian military source in Chechnya who asked not to be further identified told AFP. Two soldiers were killed and three injured when another army truck was blown up yesterday.
