ISIS showcases new offensive in southern Damasus
[ALMASDARNEWS] The so-called Islamic State...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... (ISIS) kicked off a new offensive in the southern suburbs of Damascus on Tuesday, targeting Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham  ’s positions in the strategic Yarmouk Camp District.ISIS began the offensive by storming Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham’s positions along Haifa Street; this would result in a short, but violent battle. The Islamic State assault would ultimately prove too much for the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham fighters, as the latter retreated from all the buildings they controlled along Haifa Street.
