VIDEO: Iraqi forces deploy guided-missile combat drones to eliminate ISIS remnants
[ALMASDARNEWS] The aviation arm of the Iraqi Army is now deploying Chinese-built, Predator-like advanced combat drones to hunt down the remnants of Islamic State...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... forces across the country. The combat drone, classified by its Chinese manufacturer as the CH-4B, is capable of operating at a height of 5,000 meters from where it can use laser-guided missiles and bombs loaded onto six hard-points near the wing-root. Being equipped with advanced camera equipment, the drone can also serve in the reconnaissance role. Given the limited reconnaissance-strike capability (i.e. the ability to constantly have warplanes in the air to track and attack targets as they are identified) of the Iraqi Air Force due to its size, the CH-4B of the Iraqi Army serves as a very helpful auxiliary fire support asset in direct assistance of troops on the ground and as a stand-off weapon.
