Germany extends military missions in Iraq, Afghanistan, Mali
[IsraelTimes] Germany is extending six overseas military missions, including its longrunning operation in Afghanistan.The Cabinet agrees to increase the maximum number of troops deployed as part of the international "Resolute Support" mission by 320 to 1,300. The German army has its headquarters in Afghanistan in the northern city of Mazar-e-Sharif and a large base near the central city of Kunduz. Government front man Steffen Seibert says the number of German troops involved combating the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... group in Iraq will be reduced to 800, but the military training mission will be expanded to include the Iraqi army. Previously training was only provided to Kurdish forces fighting IS. The Cabinet also extends the German military’s missions in Mali, Darfur, South Sudan and the NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It's headquartered in Belgium.
