The provincial government media office in a statement said the operation was conducted late on Wednesday night in the vicinity of Surkh Rod district.

The statement further added that a local commander of the Taliban and another big shot who was in charge of the detective operations of the group were among those killed.

Another Taliban murderous Moslem was also maimed during the operation, the provincial government added in its statement.

The Afghan intelligence operatives also confiscated and destroyed a vehicle, four cycle of violences, and some weapons along with ammunition.
