Two civilians wounded in mortar missile, southwest of Kirkuk
Kirkuk (IraqiNews.com) Two civilians were maimed as a mortar missile was shot in southwest of Kirkuk province, a security source was quoted saying on Monday."A mortar missile fell on one of the main streets in Hawija town, west of Kirkuk, ... a thick stew of Arabs, Turkmen, Kurds, and probably Antarcticans, all of them mutually hostile most of the time... leaving two civilians maimed," the source said. "Security troops cordoned off the blast scene and transferred the maimed to nearby hospital for treatment," the source added, indicating that troops carried out a campaign to search for those who fired the missile.
