Taliban commander among 4 killed in NDS Special Forces night raid
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] At least four Talibs were killed in a night raid conducted by the Special Operations Forces of the Afghan Intelligence, National Directorate of Security...the Afghan national intel agency... (NDS), in eastern Nangarhar The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country.. province of Afghanistan. The provincial government media office in a statement said the raid was conducted late on Wednesday night in the vicinity of Wazir area in Khogyani district. The statement further added that a local commander of the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... group identified as Abdullah alias Mazlumyar was among those killed. A large number of weapons, ammunition, and explosives belonging to the Taliban Lions of Islam were also destroyed during the operation, the statement added.
