IDF soldier lightly wounded during demolition of terrorist's home
[Ynet] 19-year-old Border Policewoman evacuated to hospital after being shot in the leg during riots that broke out between IDF soldiers and Paleostinians in Jenin as combat engineers demolished home of Ahmed Konba, a member of the terror cell that killed Rabbi Raziel Shevah in January.

An IDF soldier was lightly maimed overnight Monday after riots broke out between IDF soldier and Paleostinians in Jenin during the demolition of a home belonging to Ahmed Konba, one of the members of the terror cell behind the murder of Rabbi Raziel Shevah in an attack near Havat Gilad in January.

During the demolition, carried out by the IDF’s combat engineers, violence erupted like lava from a volcano when Paleostinians began throwing rocks and Molotov cocktails at the Israeli soldiers, and shot up the forces, according to the army.

As a result of the gunsfire, a female Border Policewoman was lightly injured and evacuated to HaEmek Medical Center in Afula. According to the hospital staff, the 19-year-old had been shot in the leg and was set to undergo surgery on Tuesday.

The cell which carried out January’s deadly drive-by shooting was led by Ahmad Nassr Jarrar, a Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", activist who was killed at the end of a wide scale manhunt during a shootout with IDF and security forces in the town of al-Yamun in February.

Soldiers shot him after he emerged from his hiding place, and charged at them with an M-16 rifle and a bag containing an bomb.

The indictment that was served by the Military Prosecution against Konba two weeks ago detailed how he, Jarrar and others made a series of attempts to carry out an attack against Mevo Dotan, shooting at motorhomes in the West Bank settlement.

Another cell shot at Israeli vehicles in the Samaria region of the West Bank. In another case, Konba carried out an intelligence observation and shot at a bus carrying Israeli soldiers. No one was hurt in the attack.
