Arab women demand role in governance
SANAA More than 70 Arab women from 21 Arab countries who met here in the Yemeni capital criticised ruling governments in Arab countries and the system of inheriting of power. They called for the empowerment of women through the adoption of a 'quota' system in which a minimum 30 per cent of power in the decision making process, including the legislation, executive and the judiciary, would be reserved for women by 2010. "Brazen hussies!
