French president in phone call to Netanyahu on Iran nuclear deal President Emmanuel Macron talked on the phone to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Monday. He reported on his conversation with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Sunday, during which the two presidents agreed to work together to salvage the 2015 nuclear accord, as the May 14 deadline approaches for a decision by President Donald Trump on whether to recertify or abandon it.
