Syrian army forces repel Islamic State attack coming from Iraqi borders
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Syrian army forces have repelled an Islamic State attack launched by militants who infiltrated from the Iraqi borders, Syrian media channels reported on Sunday.“Militants from IS attempted infiltration into al-Hasrat, al-Shaafa villages in al-Bu kamal region. The troops managed to eliminate them,” the Syrian news agency SANA said. “Confrontations occurred between army forces and militants who sneaked from the Iraqi-Syrian borders to al-Shaafa village, on the eastern bank of Euphrates,” the report said adding that the clashes left the militants killed and injured.
