UAE-backed troops launch largest assault to capture west Yemen port
[ALMASDARNEWS] The UAE-backed Southern Resistance troops launched a massive assault to capture the strategic al-Jah District of the Hodeideh Governorate this past weekend.Backed by heavy  s from the Arab Coalition, the Southern Resistance fighters stormed the Houthi ...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews... defenses at several axes in a bid to overwhelm their forces. However, corruption finds a dozen alibis for its evil deeds... the Southern Resistance attack has so far been unsuccessful, as the Houthi forces have refused to yield any ground to these UAE-backed troops in the Hodeideh Governorate. The UAE-backed troops are currently trying to capture the al-Jah District in order to advance towards the strategic port-city of Hodeideh in western Yemen. Despite their best efforts to reach Hodeideh city, the Southern Resistance offensive has mostly been forestalled, as some of their troops have found themselves cutoff from their main supply line.
