IED thrown at border police guarding Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron
[IsraelTimes] Police searching area, open investigation after attacker flees scene in second such incident this monthAn improvised bomb was thrown at IDF troops guarding the entrance of the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron Tuesday night, police said. The attacker expeditiously departed at a goodly pace after throwing the IED at border police manning a station just outside the tomb. The device did not explode and there were no injuries. Police said they were searching the area for the perpetrator and had opened an investigation in the incident. Earlier this month, sappers detonated a similar improvised bomb found near the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron. That device contained two small gas canisters.
