Top military commander of Ahrar Al-Sham assassinated in east Aleppo
[ALMASDARNEWS] A top military commander of Harakat Ahrar al-Sham...a Syria jihadi group made up of Islamists and salafists, not that there's that much difference, formed into a brigade. They make up the main element of the Islamic Front but they don't profess adoration of al-Qaeda and they've been fighting (mainly for survival) against the Islamic State. Their leadership was wiped out at a single blow by a suicide kaboom at a crowded basement meeting in September, 2014... was assassinated by unknown assailants in east Aleppo on Friday. According to pro-opposition activists in northern Aleppo, one of the top commanders of Harakat Ahrar al-Sham was assassinated in the town of al-Bab. The military commander and chief of weapons and armaments for Harakat Ahrar al-Sham, Abu ’Ali al-Babi, was killed on Friday when unknown assailants opened fire on his vehicle in al-Bab City. Opposition activists have accused members of the Free Syrian Army ... the more palatable version of the Syrian insurgency, heavily influenced by the Moslem Brüderbund... ’s (FSA) al-Hamza Division of carrying out this liquidation.
