Pakistani Shia cleric: No military solution possible for Yemen
[EN.ABNA24] Seyyed Sajed Ali Naqavi, top Pakistani scholar related on the present situation in Yemen warning of the humanitarian crisis in the country rejecting military solutions for the Arab nation. Making a desolation and calling it peace is a military solution. The United Nations says a record 22.2 million Yemenis are in need of food aid, including 8.4 million threatened by severe hunger. Pakistani cleric expressed concern over threats against Yemeni nation and said,” Thousands of Yemeni civilians have been killed during Saudi atrocities while famine and humanitarian crisis are threatening the lives of many people in some other areas.” A high-ranking UN aid official recently warned against the “catastrophic” living conditions in Yemen, stating that there was a growing risk of famine and cholera there.
