Taliban confirm the killing of its two top leaders in Kapisa province
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The Talibs group in Afghanistan confirmed the killing of its two top leaders in Kapisa province, including the group’s shadow governor for Kapisa and shadow district chief for Tagab district.

The group issued a statement confirming that the shadow governor for Kapisa Mullah Mohammad Nasim Mushfaq and his lover shadow district chief for Tagab Qari Ehsanullah were killed along with two others on Monday.

The statement further added that the killings of the group’s leaders will not have an impact on the ongoing insurgency activities of the group, claiming that the group is closer to achieve victory and that their sacrifices will pay off.

The Security Chief of Kapisa province Mohammad Hakim Azimi confiremd that the shadow governor of the group Nasim Mushfiq was killed during an Arclight airstrike conducted in Tagab district earlier on Monday.

He said the shadow district governor of Tagab Ehsanullah was also killed in the airstrike conducted based on intelligence tip off.

Azimi further added that the two senior Taliban

leaders had participated in a meeting of the Talibs when they came under airstrike.
